Creating Hand-Carved Fantasy Prints Inspired by Medieval Architecture

Hey traveler! I’m Rachel, a fantasy-obsessed printmaker living in Wisconsin. I carve every piece by hand and ink them using a vintage printing press in my cozy home studio.

My work is inspired by sacred architecture, medieval manuscripts, and the type of lore you’d overhear in a tavern full of elves. I love making artwork that feels like it could belong in a cathedral, or the castle you call home.

Whether you found me through Instagram or stumbled across this site like a elf in the woods, I’m so glad you’re here.

How These Hand-Carved Fantasy Art Prints Are Made

From blade to brayer to paper, this is a sacred process.

Every piece begins as a hand-drawn sketch, carved into linoleum over days or even weeks. Once the block is ready, I roll each one with ink and press them onto archival paper using my custom-made printing press. Then comes the final enchantment—hand-painted watercolor to bring stained glass windows to life.

No AI, no shortcuts. Just ink, ritual, and a bit of magic.
